hating on hackers.

I HATE HACKERS.

my beautiful new sims 3 game works perfectly okay, but then i tried to register it on the site and that was when my world ended. well, not really. metaphorically speaking, my world of happiness about the game. but technically i'm not happy so yeah. back to the topic at hand here. so it says:

sorry, the code you entered is invalid. please enter a valid serial code.

I was like, INVALID MY FOOT. i quadruple-checked my typing and oh oh oh yeah, it was fine. so what was the problem? being the melodramitist that i so famously am(haha.), i have written a letter to customerservice@ea.com accompanied by a screenshot of my game. goodness aren't i the stereotypical old lady?

after which i surfed the worldwideweb for a while on a quest for answers to my oh so annoying dilemma, when i found something of use. apparently, many people have had this problem too. and its because some stupid HACKERS couldn't buy the game so they found a way to use someone else's code for a torrent. how inconsiderately LAME is that??

i used to laaaahve piraters but now they are like going against me. its quite tragic really.

why do i want to register so badly if my game works fine you ask?
because right now the game has ONE town. ONE. its like, 'select a town from the drop-down menu' then the menu drops, and theres one option. sad. and i'm supposed to be able to claim all sorts of goodies. whatever.
